Baby Congratulations Cards

A rainy Sunday so what better thing to do than make some cards! I was asked to make a Baby Boy Congratulations card, so thought I'd better make one for Baby Girl too. I had some new nursery paper I wanted to play about with so just made a simple card using pretty papers and star shaped buttons:

I was quite pleased with my first effort - I had a sweet photo I wanted to use for a Girl card. It's difficult to find decent quality public domain photgraphs, most photo's on the net are copyrighted to someone. However if you Google public domain photo's you'll find a decent selection you can use without breaking any laws!! Anyhoo - I used some pretty pearly pink paper and torn mulberry paper along with some sparkly gems to decorate:

Lots of ideas for 'stuff' to make this week so hope I finally get round to making some of it.

Busy week

Well a few days have passed and I have been busy card making, it's been a busy week so having to fit some crafting in between other commitments. It's quite frustrating as I have lots and lots of ideas buzzing around which I want to sit down and experiment with - I ordered some lovely new papers which arrived today so I'm itching to get some new cards done for the Folksy shop.
I also want to get some more doggy cards done, I made a cute one of Louis as a pup, he's a photogenic little so and so isn't he?
This card has a pretty brown/rust backing paper, Louis's photo is mounted onto corrugated card and embellished with some lovely photo corners I found in a local shop. I tend to buy most of my supplies online where you can hunt out the bargains but occasionally you can come across some really unusual items in your local stationers! Still trying to understand SEO, now I have to cope with Google Analytics ... another foreign language! I would recommend anyone interested in crafting to join a forum, there's so much information to be found out there. However much you think you know - forget it - there's 100 times more to learn. I want to try out lots of different crafts, that was one reason to start this blog and pass on my experiences ... good and bad! If any of my nieces should get around to reading this, it's about time for another Craft Club Afternoon don't you think? Perhaps my No 1 ( and only!) follower would like to come...plenty of cake to be had too.

Dudley Ted

Well, it's Monday evening already and I don't know where they day has gone. I have had another order on Folksy...whoop whoop!!! This was for 2 more Ted cards so my little family are proving popular with others too. This is one of the cards I sent out today, 'Dudley' -
He is a tiny Ted, only about 4" high and sooooo sweet. I can see I shall have to write a book about them and their antics eventually! I'm trying to get my head around SEO or search engine optimisation but why they can't write about it in English I really don't know! I'd better get back to it or no one will ever find me. Fingers crossed for another order on Folksy, I'm at www.adiencrafts.folksy.com by the way :-) Update: I was fiddling around with all the buttons on here...as you do...and somehow managed to put this on my Facebook page. Apologies if this has been sent to you and you didn't want it...that's what you get for being my friend!

New to Blogging!

Well here I am with my own blog...have no idea what I'm doing so will work things out as I go along...no change there then!
Yesterday was a big day for Adien Crafts, the Folksy shop opened and I welcomed my first 3 customers...hooray. I sold 4 of the lovely Ted Range of cards, as well as a wall plaque and a couple of other pretty cards. It was so nice to think other people liked what I'd done so I was on cloud nine all day. All orders have been posted off so let's just hope the customers are happy with their purchases. Here is one of the Ted Cards purchased yesterday: Arthur Ted, one of my favourites,A day away from crafting today and off to dog training where
Sandy and I took a class of advanced puppies - the sun shone, the puppies were all well behaved, life is good!
